ProQual / Level 3
For experienced cladders who set out and install complex cladding systems. A Level 3 NVQ assessed on your own jobs, for the Gold CSCS card.
The Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Cladding Occupations is for cladders working at advanced craft level: setting out, installing more complex systems and details, and taking responsibility for the quality of the envelope.
Your evidence comes from the work you're doing now, from Doncaster and Barnsley to Chesterfield. Typical evidence: photos of complex cladding and details you've set out and installed, the drawings and system specifications you worked to, and statements from your supervisor or package manager.
There are no course dates and nothing to attend. You enrol and pay in full online, we register you, and your assessor plans with you what evidence you need. It typically takes 6 to 8 weeks, depending on how quickly the evidence comes together.
A construction-related Level 3 NVQ is what CSCS asks for before it issues the Gold Skilled Worker card. You'll also need to have passed the CITB Health, Safety and Environment test at the level for your occupation within the last two years. The Gold card is valid for five years.
If you're already running a team, the usual next steps are the Level 3 NVQ in Occupational Work Supervision and CITB's SSSTS, which runs in our Rotherham classroom and live online.
Experienced cladders working at an advanced level who need a Level 3 NVQ for the Gold CSCS card.
An NVQ has no course dates. You prove you're competent with evidence from the work you already do, with an assessor guiding you from start to finish.
Enrol and pay online. We register you for the qualification.
You're assigned an assessor who plans your NVQ with you and guides you through it.
Gather evidence from the work you already do: documents, photos, reports and witness statements.
Your assessor reviews your evidence and confirms you meet each standard of the qualification.
Once you're signed off you receive your certificate and can apply for the CSCS card that goes with it.
An NVQ has no venue to travel to. It's assessed on the work you already do, so it suits site teams anywhere in Sheffield, Rotherham, Doncaster, Barnsley, North Derbyshire and beyond, with no time off site.

Besides the Level 3 NVQ, CSCS asks that you've passed the CITB Health, Safety and Environment test within the last two years, at the level set for your occupation. Use the card finder on the CSCS website to check the test level for cladders. The Gold Skilled Worker card is valid for five years.
Yes, as long as you're working in the trade and can show evidence from real jobs. Witness statements can come from someone who has seen your work, such as the site supervisor or the contractor you're working for. Your assessor will tell you what's acceptable before you start collecting.
Typically 6 to 8 weeks. The biggest factor is how quickly you gather the evidence: if you're working as a cladder every day and send photos and statements as you go, it moves quickly.
